Mothers Day

Ella is still doing great and Christy and I are enjoying spending Mother's Day with her. My parents just left and now it is us and Ella. The Grandparents loved spending time and holding her since they live so far away. Ella is sleeping good and just starting to learn to eat from a bottle. She is having a little bit of a hard time learning to breath, suck, and swallow, so we have to use a feeding tube to give her what she doesn't eat. The nurses say with time she won't have a problem, but keep her in your prayers for this b/c she doesn't like the feeding tube. The great and amazing news is that she will probably come home Wednesday or Thursday so long as she stays on the same projectory. This is completely amazing since she had surgery only one week from then. The doctors are truly amazed at her recovery, but we all know how the power of prayer works. Thanks for all the emails, responses to posts, and calls. They are greatly appreciated by Christy and me. Your prayers keep our good spirits and attitudes up and Ella's great recovery moving along.

Thank YOU, Tyler. Without this vehicle to communicate with you and the opportunity to monitor all the encouragement and prayers... well, let's just say it's been good to me.

We love and miss you sweet Ella. Safe trip home but sad that we have to leave the three that we especially love. But God is great, and we loved our time with you and the best GD on planet earth. Love Nanna and Pappy E

WOW! Praise God for Ella's progress! That is awesome that things are going well and you might be home soon. What a great Mother's day present she is to you Kristy. I hope the family does make it home by Wednesday/Thursday since then I could see the family before I head out. But if not I know I will be sharing her story with others and there will be a group in Indonesia praying for her as well! Love, Ginny

Happy Mother's Day, Christy! You certainly will always remember your first one and how eventful it was! So glad to hear that Ella is doing so wonderfully. It is awesome to see the power of prayer and how God is watching over all of you so closely. We are excited for your return home so we can see this beautiful baby. Thanks for doing this blog page so that we can keep up daily on her progress. We will continue the prayers for the 3 of you and look forward to your arrival home soon.

What a HUGE blessing for two faithful servants that God would watch over Ella and take care of her through guiding the doctors hands. I cannot WAIT to see you all! Hang in there, and know you are in EVERYONE's thoughts and prayers...

Hey Christy and Tyler,
Thought it might bring a little smile to your face to know that your baby birds that were born on the same day as Ella flew out of the nest today! It was so cool watching them from eggs to little pink featherless creatures to pretty birds. Things in the bird world sure happen fast, glad it takes much longer before our little ones "leave the nest". And Tyler, your package came today :)
